Elections are a democratic process where citizens aged 18 and over elect political candidates to represent them and their interests locally, nationally or internationally.

All elections held within the Lancaster district - local, general, and European elections - are organised and administered by Lancaster City Council.

Notices of election

Following the recent death of Cllr Richard Newman-Thompson, a request for elections has been received for the John O Gaunt ward and Lancaster East division. Following the recent death of Cllr George Askew, a request for an election has been received for the Carnforth and Millhead ward .
